..Japan! Japan!..

i was going through the sent items of my yahoo account. napasin ko, i sent a message with the subject, "Japan Press". i don't remember sending this message or what it actually contained, so i opened it and found a URL. it was an article by japanese press about the company i work for. scroll through the pictures, and there i was on one of them (on the 4th picture)! hehehe. the article was dated August 31, 2004, which means i was only about a month old in the office. nag-aaral pa lang kme ng process, kaya mukhang busy. pwede rin namang aware sa picture-an, kya nagpretend na busy. hehehe. you can view the article and ^ahem^ my picture here.

Case Study 1.
when i saw Moments of Love, i was impressed by it. two strangers who met through the phone and later learned they were 49 years apart. i thought of Somewhere in Time starring Christopher Reeve. it's a tagalog film unlike any other. or so i thought.
while watching ET last saturday, my attention was caught by a new Keanu Reeves-Sandra Bullock movie called The Lake House. the movie is about Sandra's character exchanging love letters with Keanu, when in fact they're living 2 years apart. TLH is an adaptation of Il Mare, a korean movie which stars the girl from My Sassy Girl, Jeon Ji-Hyun. the details (letters and the time line) are exactly the same. Some people also thought of Ken Zhu's Sky of Love, the difference is that the characters met through a radio.

Case Study 2.
i fell in love with Wonderful Life. lately, the theme song is starting to get stuck in my head. not really paying much attention to notice it, rox told me the song, Toni Gonzaga's "We Belong", is an English-translated version of Utada Hikaru's "First Love". it wasn't. not the whole song sounded like Utada's, just the refrain part. it's most likely a "spinoff" from First Love. much like Dice and k9's Itsumo. this observation is nothing new. same issue arised when people first heard PBB's theme "Pinoy Ako" and Cueshe's "Stay".

Conclusion.
Quite disappointing. Can we be more obvious?

Wonderful Life is a story of 2 young college students, Sabrina and Daniel, who accidentally become parents because of a one-night-stand. Nakakilig na nakakainis. Si Sabrina, halata nmn, in love na sya kay Daniel. Si Daniel, in denial, hehehe! at nagpapaloko pa sa girlfriend nyang two-timer (bakit nga ba my mga girls na katulad nya?)! I like the lead actress, Yoo Gin. Especially pg naiinis ung mukha nya, para cyang Anime! Sya din ata ung lead sa Save The Last Dance For Me. C Kim Jae Won nmn (Daniel n lng, mhirap matandaan ung Kim Jae chuvanes e), cute din umarte. kengkoy, tulad nung bida sa My Sassy Girl. ayoko lang kapag nkangiti cya, kainis ung ngipin (try mo kaya mgpabraces muna, kuya? bad!) hehehe! I haven't seen their daughter, pro sabi sa mga forums, cute dw. Ay, ay! at dahil sa kababasa ko ng forums, my alam na ako na nde alam ng ibang nanoood ng WL. but i'm not a spoiler, kaya wala kayong maririnig, er, mababasa tungkol sa twist na yan! hehehe
Sa totoo lng, i havn't missed a single episode of this Korean Drama (and i don't intend to). well, 5 days pa lng nmn cya pinapalabas. hehehe. although, my mga parts akong nde npanood because of some reasons i dare not say hahaha! pro, super in love na talaga ako sa show! makapaghanap nga sa network sa office, sna meron nka-share! =)

..not-so-holy week post..

monday. i went to a nearby (and newly-opened) SSS office. i was supposed to get an ID. pgdating dun, nde p dw cla fully operational. nde p dw cla ng-o-offer ng ID, number p lng. we (rox and i) were advised to go to their other office instead. we didn't. hehehe. we headed back to his house and got treated for a halo-halo. konting laro with his "'berks" a.k.a. little cousins, nephews and nieces.

tuesday. whole family went to Eastwood for dinner. Teriyaki Boy, request ni tatay un e. panay ang pilit for us to order this cod fish worth almost 300Php/a slice! ayos lng, share-share naman sa gastos e. after dinner, sinamahan ko sila s aking favorite, Fuzion! we bought smoothies, ako na ang taya. mayaman ako e! hehehe

wednesday. i was pastry chef for a day! rox's mom asked me to swing by their house pra turuan akong mg-bake. imagine, ako, baking?! at gumamit ng hand mixer!
nkakakaba! it was like i was on an arcade playing some fighting game. wla talagang coordination ang left and right hands ko! glad i didn't make a monstrous disaster out of the ingredients! chocolate chip cookies at carrot cake. my first baking experience, successful naman at nakakatuwa!

thursday. i was up early.. too early, in fact. 5:30am! took a shower at natulog ng basa ang buhok. resulta: massive headache! nde tuloy ako nkasama sa Visita Iglesia.

friday. and saturday. spent the whole day with my bestfriend, also known as the TV. hehehe. buti na lng we got cable TV back before free channels started their hiatus.

sunday. easter lunch with rox and his family. easter dinner with my own family. last day of one week of not going back to the office. sigh. back to reality. double sigh.
